“The My Future My Career program launched in 2021 and has helped 32 youth begin their entrepreneurship journey so far,” states County Business Development Coordinator Kailyn Coupland. “Children who participate in the program will have access to free support to help launch or grow their business and will have the opportunity to showcase their business at our Youth Entrepreneurship Showcase at the end of the summer.”

The Youth Entrepreneurship Showcase will take place at Staples in Cobourg on Wednesday, August 14th from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The event will feature businesses from the BECN’s two youth programs, including the My Future My Career Kids Entrepreneurship Program and the Summer Company Program for high school and post-secondary students. Community members can stop by the event to browse the services and products offered, and to show their support for the young entrepreneurs.
