EarlyON Family Fun Bingo is Back: Another chance to win an Ontario Parks pass

“We’re very excited to bring back our Family Fun Bingo competition for a third year, in time for Family Day weekend,” says County Early Years Services Manager Lesley Patterson. “This family-friendly competition is a great way to make lasting memories together and meet other families with children of a similar age. This year, we have an exciting lineup of events featured on the bingo card, including the upcoming ‘Snow Much Fun’ event, various March Break programs at family-friendly destinations throughout Northumberland, and regular programming at EarlyON centres including story times, hikes, gym time, and exploration programs.”
Families can check off a space on their bingo card while attending the new ‘Snow Much Fun’ event, coming up on Friday, February 28th. This free event, coordinated in collaboration with the Township of Hamilton, invites families to come out to the Baltimore Recreation Centre, located at 23 Community Centre Road, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. for a morning filled with fun winter activities. From 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., families can explore snow sculptures, snowshoeing, and big machines. From 11 a.m. to 12 p.m., they can stay for a free parent and tot skate.
EarlyON also offers a variety of other free programs throughout the year for families with children ages six and under. They have regular programming available at eight local EarlyON Child and Family Centres throughout Northumberland as well as several partner locations including community centres, libraries, parks, and more. Their programs provide families the opportunity to connect with others, explore together, and enjoy activities that foster creativity, learning, and fun. They have a program suitable for every family, including indoor and outdoor options available on weekdays, evenings and weekends, and special programs for new and expecting parents.
To participate in Family Fun Bingo, families can pick up a bingo card at their local EarlyON Centre starting February 18th, or they print one at home now by visiting the EarlyON Northumberland webpage. Each square on the card features an activity that can be completed either in person, online, or at home. Families can mark off the corresponding square on their bingo card once they complete an activity.
Families who get a ‘bingo’ by completing a full line – vertically, horizontally, or diagonally – can submit their card to an EarlyON Educator from February 19th to March 28th, to claim a small reward and be entered into the grand prize draws for one of two available Ontario Parks passes. Winners will be chosen at random and contacted by April 14, 2025.
For contest details and to print your bingo card at home, visit Northumberland.ca/EarlyON. Printed copies are also available for pick-up at your local EarlyON Child and Family Centre starting Tuesday, February 18th.
